Two people who photograph restaurants for a living.

This is where we write down what happens between the plating and the shutter — and, often enough, what we cooked afterwards.

Leila shoots. Den writes software and carries the light stands. We work mostly in Vancouver, across restaurants, hotels and the occasional hockey arena, and we travel when the work or the weather gives us an excuse.

This journal is the personal side of that: notes, mistakes, things that only became obvious on the drive home. The client work lives atleilakwok.com.
